I've been through many adventures that have all taught me a thing or two. I've cruised on oceans, drove across country, saw some of my most favorite things, and watched others pass.  At 44, I've had three careers; restaurant management, Navy law and now the combination of the two as the CEO of this company. I treasure this life because I believe we all should do what we can for each other and have a great time doing it! 

Back in 1983 I started my restaurant career and have been through most everything that can happen at a restaurant since then (prosperous times, community relations, down-sizing and even an armed hostage situation).   In 1992, licensed through Margaritaville Inc., I founded the Lone Palm Parrot Head Club, one of the largest Parrot Head Clubs on the west coast.  This fund-raising organization raised thousands of dollars for local and national charities.  This was my calling, and I answered!  In my college years I was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to survey migration habits of Bald Eagles in the Cascade mountain range.   After my college years, I enlisted in the Navy aboard  and worked for the JAGC (Judge Advocate General Corps).  After 15 years in the restaurant and bar business I decided to teach others what I have learned by so many of the hard working and inspiring people I've met through the years.  I purchased NWTE (Northwest Training and Events), which is now Academy of Training and Prevention and have expanded into other western states.

Rhonda Cruz ~ Executive Trainer

Rhonda is a woman with a glorious past and a mysterious future.  Former rock star, Rhonda toured with the rich and famous, lived in Napa Valley and lived her life the way most people dream.  Now, with a beautiful ranch in Scio, she occasionally teaches a class for us every now and then and is the lead singer of the famous band, Blind Lemon Belly .  She is an expert in her many fields of knowledge and we are very privileged to have her here at ATP.  Currently she is on a leave of absence as she was needed in West Virginia working for the government as an undisclosed operative (seriously).

Sam Watt ~ Executive Trainer

Sam is the latest edition of our carefully chosen executive trainers.  While protecting the rich and famous for many years, Sam has been been raising his family here in Oregon.  He has over 20 years experience in security and personal defense and was nationally ranked as a prize fighter - there is no mistaking this man when he walks into a room.  Sam loves to teach others about Oregon liquor laws, but also teaches DPSST (Department of Public Safety and Standards Training) for certification through the State of Oregon. 

Connie Mansell - Translation Specialist

Connie is currently finishing her degree in linguistics at the University of Oregon.  We are lucky to have Connie as our Spanish Interpreter.   Before she travels abroad, she is helping us here at ATP with her expertise in language and dialect.   You can see her in Eugene at our specially scheduled classes.

Executive Trainer for Washington State

Gillian has been an alcohol server trainer for many years.  Recently she has joined us to help expand our training into Washington State and Alaska.  She has spent the majority of her career as a Human Resources manager in the hospitality industry.  She is a true asset to our team!  With  her experience, knowledge and charm, you'll always remember taking your class with her!
